The Austrian Philharmonic Series
Launched in 1989 with the Gold Philharmonic, the Austrian Philharmonic series expanded in 2008 to include the 1 oz Silver Philharmonic struck in .999 fine silver. Designed by Chief Engraver Thomas Pesendorfer, the coin honors the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and its iconic home, the Golden Hall of the Musikverein.
Since then, the Philharmonic range has grown to include platinum issues and notable special editions, cementing its status as one of the world’s most popular and recognizable bullion coins. The 2025 Silver Philharmonic remains a favorite among investors and collectors alike for its liquidity, artistry, and European heritage.
