1/4 oz Canadian Maple Leaf Coin 2014

Country: Canada, Mint: Royal Canadian Mint, Diameter: 20mm, Thickness: 1.70mm, Weight: 7.78g, Purity: 0.9999% (24 karat)

The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is the official bullion gold coin of Canada, produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. Renowned for its purity, it is one of the few regular-issue coins with a gold content of .9999 millesimal fineness (24 carats), with some special issues reaching .99999 fine. This means it contains virtually no base metals—only gold sourced from Canadian mines.

Obverse: Features a detailed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "CANADA 2014," and the face value of $10 surround the portrait.

Reverse: Showcases the iconic Canadian maple leaf, a symbol of Canada. The design includes the year of issue, "1/4 OZ" (denoting the weight), and "9999" (indicating the gold purity).

With its exquisite design, 99.99% fineness, and international recognition, the Canadian Maple Leaf coin is a top choice among collectors. Not only is it one of the purest regularly issued gold coins available, but it also features advanced security marks that make counterfeiting difficult, offering the best premiums on the spot price. Its combination of purity, security, and design has made the Canadian Maple Leaf the most popular bullion coin in the world.

First minted in 1979, the Gold Maple Leaf set new standards in the gold coin industry, being the first to achieve a .9999 purity level thanks to the Royal Canadian Mint's advanced technology of the time.

The 2014 1/4 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Bullion Coin is prized for its exceptional purity, elegant design, and the esteemed reputation of its minting authority. It remains a favored choice for both collectors and investors due to its quality and the enduring appeal of the Canadian Maple Leaf design.
