Struck by the South African Mint in collaboration with the Rand Refinery, each coin contains 1 troy ounce of fine gold. Unlike many modern bullion coins, the Krugerrand is minted in 22-karat gold (91.67% purity) with a small copper alloy content, enhancing its durability and giving it its distinctive warm gold colour.
The obverse features the portrait of Paul Kruger, former President of the South African Republic, while the reverse depicts the iconic Springbok antelope, one of South Africa’s national symbols.
Coins are selected from various years based on available inventory. While the year of issue may vary, each coin is guaranteed for authenticity, weight, and gold content.
