The purity and weight are to the left and right of the centered medallion, respectively. The top of the reverse reads "ATTILA THE HUN 406-453."

Attila the Hun was a terrible force to be reckoned with. He ruled the Hun Empire from 434 to 453 CE (Common Era) after the death of his uncle Rugila, the former ruler of the empire. Counter to the common perceptions of him, Attila was educated in both fighting and in Latin and Gothic in order to interact with Romans and Goths. This proved to be useful to Attila as he was a constant adversary of the Roman Empire. The 2009 Attila the Hun coin shows the warrior style of the empire's commander.
